What is the Splash Hub? It's where you design the WiFi page your guests see when they join your WiFi.

  • If it can't save, you'll see "Not saved." and the reason. Fix that one thing, then save again.

14. Images: sizes and formats

Why size matters: guests load your page before they're online, often on a weak signal. Small files = a fast page.

ImageSize (pixels)Keep underBest format
Logo600 × 300 (wide) or 500 × 500 (square)200 KBPNG (see-through) or SVG
Dark mode logo (Design 7)Same as logo200 KBPNG (white or light version)
Background (desktop)1920 × 1080500 KBJPG or WebP
Tablet background1024 × 1366400 KBJPG or WebP
Mobile background1080 × 1920300 KBJPG or WebP
Landing image1080 × 1920500 KBJPG or WebP
Promotion image1080 × 1080300 KB (max 1 MB)JPG or WebP
Link icon256 × 25650 KBPNG
Loyalty wallet image431 × 177200 KBPNG or JPG

Top tips:

  • ✅ Keep the important part in the middle. Edges get cut off on phones.
  • ✅ Shrink files before you upload them, with free tools like TinyPNG or Squoosh.
  • ✅ Add a mobile background if your main picture is landscape.
  • ❌ Don't put words inside background pictures. They get cut off.
  • ❌ Avoid AVIF if guests may have older iPhones (iOS 15 or earlier). It won't show for them.

Upload limit: most uploads accept files up to 10 MB. The upload box shows the exact limit. Big photos are shrunk automatically, but starting small looks sharper.

15. Videos: how to get them right

In short: a short MP4, filmed tall, with no sound needed.

SettingUse this
FormatMP4 (H.264)
ShapePortrait (tall), 1080 × 1920
Length5 to 10 seconds
File sizeUnder 5 MB (max 10 MB)
SoundNone needed. Videos always play muted.

Good to know:

  • 🔁 The video loops and plays muted.
  • ✂️ It's cropped to fill the screen, so keep the action in the middle.
  • ❌ Don't use AVI. It uploads, but it won't play in web browsers.
  • ⚠️ MOV and WEBM may not play on every phone. Stick to MP4.
  • 🐢 Big videos load slowly, because guests aren't online yet.

Where videos go:

  • Upload in Card 2 → Landing page.
  • Design 7: turn on Play the landing video as the background.
  • Design 6: turn on Use Promo Video as Background.
  • To check it, on Design 7 turn on Show landing page at the top.

16. Fonts

  • Design 7: TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2. Max 2 MB. WOFF2 is fastest.
  • Other layouts: TTF, OTF or WOFF.
  • Make sure your font licence allows use on a website.
